Lightning Creek is a wild, rugged, and fast flowing creek that runs from deep inside the Cabinet Mountains down a steep sided canyon and ultimately ends up in the Clark Fork River near the mouth of Lake Pend Oreille. What makes Lightning Creek so incredible is the glacial blue colored water tumbling over granite boulders between cedar lined banks, and with towering craggy peaks and ridges overhead. When the cold weather hits, the hoarfrost and ice formations around the rocks make for absolutely incredible subjects and foregrounds. Add a dusting of snow among the moss and ferns on the ground and you have a recipe for pure magic!
Take your photography to the next level
This workshop is your chance to capture stunning images that you can be truly proud of while getting one-on-one instruction and guidance from professional outdoor photographer Chris Celentano. Explore some of the most remote country in North Idaho while also learning how to take your images to the next level. Whether you are a beginner just picking up a DSLR or mirrorless camera for the first time, or a seasoned expert, there is something for everyone in this workshop. Not only will we be covering landscape and nature photography, we will also be covering some Outdoor Adventure photography; adding the human element to unique compositions will take your images even further. This is your chance to learn how to make your audience feel like they are apart of the action or scene through your photos.

Duration- Roughly 12 hours
When- Meet at the Big5 parking lot at 8:00AM, Sunday December 8th in Coeur d'Alene to arrange carpool.
What To Bring- Your DSLR or mirrorless camera, a tripod, CPL and ND filters(if you have them), water, lunch and snacks, and an eagerness to learn! A pair of waders will be hugely beneficial for this class as we will plan to be in and around the water most of the day. Please plan for cold weather; bring adequate warm clothes to spend a day out in the mountains in early December. It is fair to assume there will be snow so a good pair of boots will be beneficial. Please bring a jacket and gloves as well.
