Lighting Creek, Idaho

Explore the wettest drainage in the State of Idaho along the southern reaches of the Cabinet Mountain Range during this exciting and adventure filled workshop!

Sunday, December 8th, 2019

Lightning Creek is a wild, rugged, and fast flowing creek that runs from deep inside the Cabinet Mountains down a steep sided canyon and ultimately ends up in the Clark Fork River near the mouth of Lake Pend Oreille.  What makes Lightning Creek so incredible is the glacial blue colored water tumbling over granite boulders between cedar lined banks, and with towering craggy peaks and ridges overhead.  When the cold weather hits, the hoarfrost and ice formations around the rocks make for absolutely incredible subjects and foregrounds.  Add a dusting of snow among the moss and ferns on the ground and you have a recipe for pure magic!
